Fujifilm has announced a new Instax printer that supports features a more Polaroid-like format. Fujifilm is planning to release the Instax Link Wide smartphone printer later this month for $149.95. The company is also releasing a new model with a black border, which will sell for $21.99 for a pack of 10.

In fact, the Instax Wide has never become as popular as Fujifilm's instant Mini and Square formats. One advantage of the Mini format, which is also more affordable, is that as the prints are smaller, so are the cameras. The Square attracts enthusiasts and nostalgics simply because it evokes the feeling of shooting with a Polaroid.

The basic Instax Mini camera has an almost annual update, while Fujifilm takes a similar approach with its Instax Square cameras. In contrast, Fujifilm sells only one Wide-format camera, the Instax Wide 300 , and it hasn't been updated since 2015.
