Nokia has a new 5G smartphone, with an affordable price for the features. The model hits the market for about $300, or 255 euros.
The new Nokia comes with a 6.82-inch HD Plus display, three rear cameras, a Snapdragon 480 5G processor, and a large fast-charging compatible battery, which the company says is capable of lasting two days. It also has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, 3.5mm headphone jack and biometric reader.

The FCC (Federal Communications Commission of the United States) has certified that the smartphone as well as the frequencies for Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. This G series phone is similar to the Nokia X20 that was announced in April 2021, but the G50 has a larger screen and battery and comes in a specific version for the North American market (AT&T and T-Mobile), i.e. in Portugal this version will not be available.
In April, HMD Global, responsible for launching Nokia phones, unveiled even cheaper devices: the C and G series, which cost between $100 and $200, as well as the Nokia X20. According to HMD Global, the Nokia G50 will come with Android 11 and will receive two years of operating system updates and three years of monthly security updates.
When it comes to photos, the device comes with its own camera app that lets you place and customize watermarks, helping to protect copyrighted photos.
The Nokia G50 comes pre-loaded with Spotify and a 30-day trial of ExpressVPN. It is Dual SIM and will be available in Ocean Blue colour.
